[SOC] beer

Or even an ice-cube.

When I was in the Air Force, I was involved in Test and Evaluation, to
include a good number of black-world projects. A lot of the time when we
traveled (with our aircraft) we stayed in some really nice places. Those
places, however, were tempered by some REAL horrible spots. You learned to
make sure your beer bottle was not open when they handed it to you and you
always wiped it (usually with your sweaty t-shirt) before opening.

I guess the good thing about those places was that you couldn't drink the
water, so you had to enjoy the beer. (Although 'enjoy' wasn't necessarily
possible in some cases!) I don't know if it was the alcohol or the gamma
globulin shots, but I managed all those trips without any major health
crisis. I’m not sure I'd be so keen to travel to some of those places
anymore!

73,

Mike
