Back in the 1970s, Ralphs Grocery in Los Angeles came out with a line
of low-price generic items labeled "Plain Wrap". Everything was in a
white package with a minimal blue label. Their beer definitely
qualified as second (or lower) class. They also had a Champagne
(California, not France!) I couldn't even finish the bottle.
