Someone mentioned Theakstons Old Peculiar beer. For those unfortunates
who have never heard of this brew, it's a product of a small English
brewery, and has an alcohol content approaching 11 or 12 percent. (to my
mind, it tastes terrible). I once asked a barman in Worcester UK for
a pint, and was told pretty smartly that he only sold it in half-pints!
The pub, The Cardinal's Hat, had never closed since 1400 and something,
and had the original licence to brew it's own beer framed above the
bar. It was signed by King Henry IV.
Kind regards to all
