[SOC] Fw: UK DC3s grounded for Health and Safety Rules

There are still a lot of DC-3's (mostly converted C-47's) in service.
Especially in Alaska, where they are STILL earning their keep and making a
buck for their owners!

I am a "sim" pilot for DC-3 Airline "virtual airline". Lots of Goonie Bird
stories there and enthusiasts, as well as actual old time DC-3 pilots. I
did maintenance on our squadron C-47 for a number of years (avionics) and
also rode many hours in the Radio Operator's seat. A/C 43-16029.

We consider the Douglas DC-3 THE "classic" airliner and the world's MOST
successful airline airplane. It has NEVER been "replaced", only copied with
newer equipment...none quite as good as it was in it's day!

73,

Sandy W5TVW
