[SOC] Need source for Motorola MC4016P IC

Ian et Al,

I wish it were that easy... in fact, I thought you had it there for a
second.

One thing I DID manage to find today was the Motorola datasheet for the
MC4016. Comparing it to the CD4016, it is quite different.

The pinout for the MC4016 is as follows:

1 - Q3
2 - D3
3 - PE (High)
4 - Gate
5 - D0
6 - Clock 1
7 - Q0
8 - Gnd
9 - Q1
10 - MR (High)
11 - D1
12 - Bus
13 - Clock 2
14 - D2
15 - Q2
16 - VCC

The first link you gave me leads me to the CD40162B, with a pinout as
follows:

1 - Clear (High)
2 - Clock
3 - P1
4 - P2
5 - P3
6 - P4
7 - PE
8 - VSS
9 - Load (High)
10 - TE
11 - Q4
12 - Q3
13 - Q2
14 - Q1
15 - Carry Out
16 - VDD

I wish you were right!

73,

Mike

Mike,

Be very careful here. As you correctly say the number 4016 was used twice
unfortunately.

If it is in fact the early Motorola 'Programmable Modulo-N Counter' [I
suspect
it will be] then surprisingly Digi-Key list it as "IC 4BIT PROG SYNC COUNTER
16-DIP Texas Instruments" part No. 296-2170-5-ND min order 1 at $0.56 121 in
stock..

4016

OTOH if it's a 'quad bilateral switch' you're also in luck.

296-2036-5-ND CD4016BE IC QUAD BILATERAL SWITCH 14-DIP Texas Instruments
$0.48
each
