The Boston Lager is quite nice, as is (my favorite) Cream Stout.

Of course, neither of them should be mentioned here, as they are definitely
NOT SOC.

A favorite brand (mostly due to the low price)in the
Chicago area circa 1968 was Buckhorn beer priced at 89
cents for a six pack.  Buckhorn and Strohs were my
favorites until my taste buds became more educated
with the introduction of newer brands and microbrews.
Current favorite is Sam Adams Boston lager.

Picked up a big iron for around $5 at a hamfest that I
use on PL-259's. Might be an American Beauty of at
least 175 watts.  Has an old fashioned large tip.
