A subject of " Soldering Irons / Guns" is about beer? Now ... that's
really SOC!

At 27, in the AF and in Houston assigned to NASA, I tried Jax. It
wasn't San Miguel ... but not so bad. Doesn't vodka come from potato
peelings? Lone Star had a good bite, and was variable, just like San
Miguel, which I considered to be a "feature" then. I'm older now, don't
think that's true anymore. You couldn't get a drink over a bar in
Houston then, but you could open a beer bar in your garage just by
opening the door. That's how I found Jax.

Hamms was sort of watery, not unlike Olympia. Then there was the generic
in the white can that said "BEER" during the late 70's. With too many
kids and too little income, we did drink that. Wonder what it was made
from? OK ... I drank it so I don't wonder.
