[SOC] In True SOC Style

First, let me say hello to everyone.  I'm Vann, K4VGL, and SOC# 736.
Apparently, the application committee was busily setting up their
equipment for the weekend of contesting to come when my application was
approved.
 
I played in the ARRL Int DX contest this weekend.  In true SOC style, I
could only scrape up 8970 points.  I was working a barefoot 100 watts,
multi-band vertical, and no filters.  Second class all the way!  HiHiHi.
