To make it onto Snopes, the "story" has to be plausible regardless of whether it is true, false, or a little bit of both. Ponder the plausibility of SOC, and I think you will agree that we'll never make it.

I can vouch for the inaccuracy of the scuba diver and the Iraqi letter
bomber. Those are the only two I looked up. www.snopes.com The scuba
diver is not possible, although I would imagine you could get a little
bruised up if you were in front of the bomber when it scooped water from
the lake.
Search on ["forest fire"] ... I think it was the second entry.
Search on ["letter bomb"] ... It was the only entry
They're both from the 90's on the I'net, but the scuba diver story
apparently originated in the 80's. I'd bet my SOC # they're all urban
legends.
Just for grins, I searched on various combinations of ["second class
operators club"] and [soc] ... no hits. Wonder how we could get a listing.
