Hello all;
I'm Rob, w0jrm, editor of Bacon Bits Quarterly, the quarterly newsletter
of the Flying Pigs QRP Club. I'm looking for folks to write articles on
backpacking and portable operation for our March 2008 issue.
Specifically:
Things you take while operating /p
Battery setups
Portable charging of batteries
Antennas you use (homebrew? commercial? construction articles?)
How you pack it all
Experiences while operating /p
Any stories or experiences you've gained or heard while /p
PHOTOS, PHOTOS, PHOTOS!!!
Don't let fear of publication dissuade you from submitting a story. We
are by no means a stuffy group of folks (I think our reputation is well
known...) and anything you'd like to share will be welcomed! You do NOT
need to be a member of FPQRP to submit an article. Anybody anywhere is
welcomed to submit articles for publication.
I'd also love to get some stories and photos from you folks that will be
braving the elements for FYBO 2008. Notes from doctors treating your
frostbite are accepted.
Please let me know off-list if you're interested. Submissions will be
due by January 31, 2008. Articles with past publication in or on other
journals, websites, or magazines are accepted if its not an issue with
the prior publisher.
Thanks!
