Well, it is a good story ... not true ... but good.  <snopes.com> and 
search on "cigars", it'll be down 3 or 4.  It's actually a remarkably 
long-lived urban legend, and very well preserved too.

Story may not be true, however I'd guess the world has one or two other 
reasons to think we're nuts ;-)  And, being perceived as nuts does have 
it's advantages from time to time.
