[SOC] AZ ScQRPion Paddle - Construction qestion

I'm (finally) building the Arizona ScQRPions paddle and have a question for 
anyone who may have already been down this road.

  I have finished polishing the parts and now into the actual construction. 
The paddles include two short pieces of silver coated wire which will be 
used to ground the two arms to the base (This was a problem on the previous 
Norcal Paddles).  I'm not exactly sure where to solder the silver wire onto 
the arm and then where it goes after that.  The instructions say" the wire 
must be attached directly below the spring recess hole on the bottom of the 
arm"  The hole is on the side, do they mean on the bottom of the side or the 
bottom of the arm.  Seems simple but I can't picture what they mean.

I'd appreciate any help you may have to offer
