Tom,
I reread your license - I was more interested in the dates.
You should go to the ULS and log in and then when you get to the license
manager, you will see on the right side - "REQUEST DUPLICATE LICENSE" -
which is what you should do.
Even though the "real" license is the appearance of the license on the FCC
web page, for practical reasons the paper copy is considered what is needed
by VEC and others. Several years ago this was changed - prior to that the
"real" license was the paper. Now it isn't the paper at all.

Well Tom should you complete the study process before you agtually renew
your ticket.
You will need to produce and orginal signed License. Most VE sites are not
set up to search the FRN data base and as such we are limited to the orginal
paper sent to you. We can make photocopies of thr orginal and submit them
so you can keep the ticket for your scrap book.
Good Luck in your upgrade pursuit you will not find yourself wanting for SOC
company as an Amatuer Extra Class Ham.
We SOC are everywhere...
