Nigel,

In this context, the meaning of politic opinion is quite clear as being
related to opinions about political figures involved in international
relations, and the actions of the governments they lead. If one wants to
debate those issues, there are myriad discussion groups dedicated to those
issues that would be appropriate for such discussion.

A Ham radio related issue being debated is one thing, and the general
silliness that this group is known for is another. 

Shall we please end this, and get back to the silliness?

Any difference of opinion between 2 people is, technically, political.
Are you suggesting that nobody is allowed to discuss anything is 
somebody is liable to disagreewith their point of view?
