Howdy Fred,
ECN carries on its mission. We keep gaining a few folks and losing a
few backsliders ;) But the CW faithful are apparent. We welcome any and
all proponents of CW to our humble network of friends across the continent
and the world. Hopefully we can keep chugging along until the sunspot
cycle starts on its way back up. At that point I have no idea who may be
able to check in.
Try to stay sane in this crazy world while aiding those who deserve
your assistance. Now to get myself to the blood center so I can give my
share. Mother (may she rest in peace) was an advocate of the Red Cross.
Somewhere I have packed away her banner of many, many pins for each pint
she gave. She was in a multi gallon club the number of which escapes me.
The pins were myriad.
I try to do my part by passing messages for folks and providing any
information I can as to how they can find their loved ones in the effected
area. I am consistently surprised at how many amateur operators are
unknowledgeable of the emergency communications groups. So I act in their
stead. I learned soon after gaining my privileges that I could do much
for my community. Since then I have learned much and trained others. I
hope to keep teaching until I end my days. Paying my debt forward for all
who have assisted me is what I owe to them.

Thank you for this email list; it helps us all remember to laugh and have
some fun.
    Take care,
Kevin. (Second Class? I can only aspire to that emminence!)
