Now that IS a good question! I do know we have lousy tea now. Some guys
who sailed to SriLanka frequently say they send the "floor sweepings" over
here for U.S. market!
Also, we have some of the worst mass produced beer there is! Only good stuff
comes from a little brewery in Covington, LA called "Abita Brewery". I like
Abita Amber. Kinda like British bitter. Best beer I ever had was in Antwerp
Belgium and also the U.K. Also was some fair stuff at some of the "Oktoberfest"
get togethers here. Abita makes many brews: lager , amber, dark ales. NEVER
got a hangover in spite of consuming many pints at times in U.K. (Chelmsford,
Essex to be exact!) Wonderful bloody stuff. If I tried to get that pissed over
here on "Yank" beer, I'd wake up with a swollen head and feeling awful!
(Except Abita..no preservatives)

Sandy W5TVW

| Well, that's me confused.
|
| I thought that the war was our revenge because you had thrown some tea into
| Boston harbour.
|
| Who won by the way?
