    Maybe, but the need is here and now. One has to make do with what
organizations are in place. Improve it later...

    FYI, most mainstream agencies now publish freely the percentages of
donations that go into admin costs VS delivered aid dollars. Efficiency has
become a selling point. You simply have to ask the agency you want to donate
to to give you those figures and who derived them (themselves or an outside
watchdog).

  Donations are a personal thing, everyone has favorites. But the ones with
the highest ad budgets are the ones most of us know the best. These are rarely
the most efficient, dollar-for-dollar.

   Been in the middle of it.. " Been there, done that".

    But any compassionate donations are better than none. There, but for the
Grace of God, go you or I.
