Oh, that's wonderful! Leave it to the Japanese. We just got a new washer 
and dryer at Sears, both under the Kenmore label. I think one is made by 
Whirlpool and I forget the other, but a different manufacturer. After 
the usual installation and startup difficulties, imagine my surprise 
when the washer announced that it was done by sending "B" three times at 
about 7 wpm, then when the load was dry, the dryer sent "5" numerous 
times, somewhat faster in a very similar tone. I guess the CW idea
