Symantec arrogant - naw! :)

I have been trying to renew my son's viruschecker with that company and have
found out that the front line personnel don't seem to know anything (typical
these days). A summary consists of "go to the Symantec store". A lot of
good that does. I still can't renew his definitions. The option to buy is
out there, but not the price etc. About the only thing I can figure is that
his virus checker has reached its life cycle and is not renewable.

I have Win98 (not 2nd ed) here and the email scan with Symantec's Norton
Antivirus 2003 will not work. (fortunatly the virus checker still works on
a write etc and catches them all) Symantec "thinks" that it is because my
windows system is an upgrade from 95. Their recommendation either -- shut
off the email checking portion (that is why I upgraded) or upgrade to a
different op system. Let's see a 300MHz Celeron with 48 M of RAM with what?
WinXP - not. New computer at $$$$?

I think that Symantec cares IF you and about 10,000 others have the same
problem. gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
