    No plural for hundredweight, either - strange.
    The Amurricans take this farther and don't pluralize
    or even pluralise "pair".   As in "I have 2 pair of
    tickets".   

    And their "in back of" for "behind" bugs me, although I
    realize/realise that we use "in front of" with no probs.
