KEITH MILLER  1919 - 2004

It is difficult to imagine anyone who fitted the image of a "Boy's Own" better
than Keith "nugget" Miller. Suave, debonair, a VFL Footballer, a World War 11
bomber pilot and an extraordinary Test Cricketer, arguably our next best after
Sir Donald Bradman.

Miller, who died yesterday aged 84, was also the archetypal Aussie sportsman,
as irreverent and engaging as he was successful.

One of his best quotes said it all. When asked if he ever felt under pressure
on the cricket field, he replied:

"Pressure? I'll tell you what pressure is.... Pressure is having a
Messerschmitt up your arse, playing cricket is not"
