Sorry, but I've been in a perverse mood in the last two days.

Tomorrow, my time I go to the funeral of a very good friend, I'm sick of these
but as we all know, you have no control over this.

My friend Pat, whom we bury tomorrow, after high school played first class
cricket, now Pat has passed on, it's not unreasonable to pass along Pat's
disagreement with selectors.

Him or Richie Benaud? Both played for the same team. In a British or more
correctly context, same county team.

If you know cricket, you should know Richie Benaud. Anyhoo, while Pat was still
financially able, he saw every test locally all over the world.

London, Sydney etc. and his very personal favourite, the West Indies where he
went many times, India, Pakistan, he was there...

Not technically correct, but you get the message.

TO ALL CRICKETERS

Raise a glass, to Pat Davies, my dear mate, a gentleman, not a scholar, just a
decent bloke who cared about people with his Catholic principles.

Tomorrow, your time 01:30Z  or 11:30 LT is the funeral.

No, a "real good glass" to a gentleman who cared for "people".

PS: Raise one for me who, like my father, is sick of burying mates.
