Another aspect of this delayed independance: more Native Americans left
alive. After becoming less Euro-centric the colonists decided to
slaughter their way across the continent. They used any and all means to
decimate the indigenous population to take whatever they wanted. If
independance had been delayed the colonies would have remained
Euro-centric for much longer allowing the indigenous population to
acclimate to the 'culture' of whites. They may have developed some
defense mechanisms and survived much longer or at least coped with the
clash much better.
