Either way the middle class gets screwed!

We need a few dozen more parties in the US.  We also need to get rid of 
winner takes all and put in a proportional system of winning.  That would 
make politics a bit more interesting.  But anything over the local level 
just gets in the way of getting things done.  Never should have lost the 
War of Northern Aggression.
