I knew that I was a SOC many years ago! In 1978, I could only handle 10 wpm,
and I met a ham on the lower end of 80 calling CQ, He was fast, about 20 wpm
as I remember it ; I called him back, asked him to slow down and he sent
back that I should go to the novice band, and disappeared. Never wrote down
his call... Darn.
I stopped at the QCW site at Dayton years ago and asked about membership.
After he laughed, he said I didn't qualify. but he never asked how long I
was a ham.....Now I know what QCW means . Quirky old guys.

Me. I like CW, but you gotta slow down to talk to me..... I still struggle
with 20 wpm. but I can only do it for a short while then my brain goes to
sleep.
And while we are on the topic of SOC, how about the guy who said my sig was
599, until I sent... QRP and then he said I as bearly copiable? See I can't
even spell.

This is the club for me.
