My first (and favourite dog) was Meg.

Border collie greyhound cross. Died a couple of years ago. I was devastated.
You don't realise how much these animals mean to you until they're gone.

Very fast sheepdog.

Her favourite game was to throw the ball to you. She'd sit at the top the
stairs waiting for the tennis ball. I'd throw it to her and she'd tease me
before dropping it back down the stairs for me to collect..

Bright dog. Could understand commands like "Give Katie the ball" when I'd
just thrown it to her.

Border collies are the best IMHO.
