[SOC] QSL's

Ya can't... You have to go through the registration process, which takes a
week or two. You download some software and ask for a 'certificate', so you
can digitally sign your logs. (Yes... You need this even if you only want
to retrieve cards.) Once you request the certificate, ARRL will send you a
postcard with a password on it. You then log in with the password, which
causes ARRL to email you the certificate. Then, you load the certificate on
your computer and you're good to go.

I know, it sounds complicated (complicated enough that I didn't want to do
it either, but I finally gave in)...but it really wasn't so bad. I'm as SOC
as anybody, so if I didn't screw it up, it can't be too bad!

Subject: [SOC] QSL's

I don't like to QSL, but I'm not consistent, either (I'm SOC, remember?). I
just checked FISTS and EQSL and there are no cards for me. LOTW I couldn't
figure out how to use. I don't want to upload logbooks (I log by hand on
paper, quite consistently), but I want to check if there are any entries for
me there. How do I do that without getting immersed in the system? Tnx 73
