Good points, Bill. I received a batch of cards from the buro a while back
for contacts I made 10 or more years ago. I guess that's why they call it
snail mail!

LOTW is neat... And it counts for ARRL awards (not that I'm an award
seeker... Don't have any now... But moving every 2 years or so is not
conducive to award hunting), but the interface leaves me cold. I need
SOMETHING in my hand in order to feel the satisfaction!

Okay... I'm defiantly getting old!

73,

Mike

Hmm. Original post not logged here, so why am I QSLing?

Hard cards are enjoyed and sent, but postage costs and 19th century mail
system (buro) are bummers. Am beginning to enjoy eQSL, but the success
rates would be higher if these were recognized for major awards. There is
no legitimate reason for not doing so -- level of security is sufficient for
ecommerce that accepts some level of error/fraud as cost of doing business.
This IS a hobby. May look into LOTW, but ARRL awards no longer of interest.
