Mike,
I do all the QSL-ing for an active club (~1000 QSLs a year what with 2
or 3 special events each year.) One e-mail came in a year or so ago from
someone who wanted an eQSL. So I went over to the place and saw a list
of about 150 eQSLs for the club. I just shuddered and closed the window.
I didn't stay long enough to find out if there is a fee for sending
eQSLs. Apparently I can see all that are sent to me for free.
PS: I sent the e-mailing eQSLer a real QSL card in the snail mail and
got back the card with a curt note saying, "I _only_ eQSL, keep your
card."
LOTW is yet to be explored, but I have been asked by the club to look
into uploading our log. Or a piece of it. It has almost 13,000 QSOs in
it since 1998, not including FD logs.
PPS: Some fascinating items have come in with the QSL cards. One year a
ham in Washington state sent a couple of pine seedlings. I almost always
get a couple of round TUITs following each special event. Kinda fun!
