I use Mailwasher and my ISP automatically uses Spamassassin.

Unfortunately, Spamassassin all too often marks legitimate email as Spam. To
exclusively rely upon Spamassassin could prove disastrous, depending upon whether
you could miss something very important to you.

Used in conjunction with Mailwasher it works quite well. Personally I swear by
the registered version of Mailwasher, it's absolutely brilliant and my mail is
several thousand emails a week.
