Yep, they get an extra tax break for business used because these
behemoths weigh more than 6,000 lbs. (about 2725 kilos for our metric
friends) All perfectly legal, has been in the US Tax Code for decades.

I'm right there with you Paul, but you forgot to add:

I still can't believe people got a tax break for buying SUV's! To much
vehicle for a single passenger...

BTW, there's nothing scarier driving in Los Angeles than seeing one of
these
monsters right on your tail (they think it stops like a sports car!)
with an
Asian woman driver whose got her ear glued to the cell phone and putting
her
makeup on! They deserve to be under water ;-)
