Ian,
This loss is a great tragedy, which I morn.
However, to assume I have no conscience because I don't agree
with you is . . .
My views are informed by my time living in that part of the
world, and my understanding of the forces faced, and my
appreciation of what it will take to deal with them.
I've been arrested protesting for human rights, and faced
the probability of prison or death trying to deal with some
of the issues there.
I thank you for letting us know about this trajic loss of a
friend.
Please don't assume that, just because some of us don't take the leap
from that to the same conclusion you do about the military
actions in Iraq, that we feel the loss any less.
