The World Series may be lent some credibility by the increasing number
of Japanese baseball players, but outside of the US, Caribbean rim, and
Japan, "world" is certainly a misnomer ("Super"bowl, on the other hand,
could cover any amount of ground. US football seems to be played here
and in Germany, or is that a ruse?)

British members: Lise Doucette (sp?) who reads the news on BBC around 1700Z
has an accent that sounds more yank than brit, but would certainly raise
eyebrows here, as well. Where the H is she from? (we get the BBC news at noon
