Glad you got through it all.
I've deleted some, and left the bits that strike a resonance over this
side of the pond.
Love it or hate it, you yanks are gradually turning into 'stiff-arsed
Brits'.
Agreed, it's sometimes an anticlimax when the power comes back on.
Keep plenty of candles in the house...for light, and romance.
Also, plenty of gas in the car (watch the Brit news...the nation may
soon come to a complete standstill).
