[SOC] thanksgiving

Dennis, Ian, your good wishes are appreciated.  It appears that they worked.

We had perhaps the smallest Thanksgiving dinner crowd ever, here in this
house.  Only nine people, all family or soon to be.  'Twas a lovely day.

I sampled at least a bit of every dish.  Typical American roast turkey was
great, but Ellen's brandied yams were the standout.  When it was all over,
my insides were pleasantly full but not grotesquely distended.  The way it
ought to be, I'd say.
