[SOC] Aurora

I think this CME, thought huge, was a side-shooter. Not particularly earth-
ward. Last time the K index hit 9 (a couple of times) we had dense cloud
cover in eastern Iowa. I gather aurora was abundant over North America
that night, at latitudes  north and south of here. Know how you feel. 
Last time I saw it was along the Charles River in the late '60's. I
was not then a ham, and it was a complete surprise. Pretty. Wispy, but
