Hope all is well with you all.
I have decided to learn more German after a gap of many years.
One problem is that (now I'm getting better at it) I know just what total
bollocks I was talking before.

Somewhere near the Brenner Pass, Austria, there is a little old lady, who is
probably still
wondering to this day why a mad Englishman once walked into her shop and
said (in German) what I now know to be:

"Please do you have Owl before the Breakfast Cake",

Before (after ten minutes of great confusion) eventually leaving her shop
triumphantly
clutching a bottle of cooking oil.

Are there any proper German-speakers on the list who can help me with my
gibberish?.

Such is life.
