Not heard in the People's State of Massachusetts. I hear a buzz at
17.7-17.8 mc, but it sounds more like a corona noise.
Once I came home from a field assignment, found the whole spectrum loaded
with buzzes, and traced it to a touch-lamp at a neighbor. Fortunate I had
good relations with them, and fixed it. Discreetly walking around with an
am radio might help find it. At first I also thought it might be cable tv,
and badgered them until they came out. They agreed something was there,
disconnected cable at the end of the street, and it went UP! Then I
thought it might be the street lamp controller and went after the power
company. They came out, agreed something was there, but it wasn't the
street light controller, so they dropped power to each neighbor until it
went away. I took it from there.
