The present regime in Washington is a good example of
the very profound axiom that "Those who fail to heed
the lessons of history are bound to repeat it."
Most republics, from the Republic of Ancient Rome to
the Weimar Republic of Germany were destroyed from
within. All were taken over by corrupt officials
backed by the military.
The citizens of all of these republics were all told
the same false stories that their security was
threatened from without by imaginary
enemies, and therefore would have to give up their
freedoms and build up a gigantic army to protect them
with.
The Romans ended up with the mad, corrupt and blood
thirsty Caesars, and none of the Roman Senators
protested.
The German President Paul von Hindenburg appointed
Adolph Hitler Chancellor in January, l933 and the
Weimar Legislature was silent, as Hitler dissolved the
republic.
Unelected George W. Bush was also appointed President
by a corrupt Supreme Court, and he and his cronies
used the 9-11
attack as an excuse to use dictatorial powers to
impose a Nazi style government on the Republic of the
United States of America.
The Senators and Representatives of the people were
silent. The so-called Patriot Act as passed by
Congress is about as Unamerican as you can get.
Since Bush was not elected by the majority of the
citizens of this country, he doesn't consider that he
is accountable to the majority
of this country's citizens who don't want him to
release his weapons of mass destruction on the
helpless country of Iraq.
Bush and his conspirators keep referring to their
blood thirsty plans to kill hundreds of thousands of
men, women and children of Iraq as a war. War is
conducted between combatants. Murdering helpless
people with terrorist bombing and weapons of mass
destruction is called an atrocity.
Terror bombing with aircraft and rocket propelled
missiles was perfected by Germany, England, Japan and
also the United States of
America in World War II. The idea behind this mass
murder was that the terror stricken bombed populations
would surrender. The
fallacy behind this theory was that the victims could
not surrender even if they wanted to, because their
large armed forces would
not permit them to do so.
I reminded Rep. Gephardt when he was in Claremont
early in October of 2002 that 400,000 Americans
sacrificed their lives in WWII fighting for the
Republic of the United States of America, and we do
not want a police state here. He just looked at me
with a glum, not too pleased _expression on his face
and said nothing. I repeated the same statement to
Senator Lieberman when he was in Claremont a few weeks
later. He brushed me off with a quick, "I know," and
immediately wallked away as I tried to talk further to
him.
Ridge with his ridiculous and Unamerican Dept. of
Homeland Security is attempting to keep the U.S. in a
constant state of
fearing a terrorist attack with these phony and
unspecified secret alerts as an attempt to scare and
condition us so that they can attack any country they
want to.
You who are rich and are represented in Washington
most likely prefer Bush and his police state over the
Republic of
the United States of America. To the other Americans
who approve of Bush and his police state, history
books could educate
you abou Nazi style police states and how they got
that way through greed, arrogance, secrecy, deception
and outright lies.
You won't find history in the sports pages of your
newspaper or the sound bytes fed to you through the
biased television media.
But be careful, you could be reported to Big Brother.

WWII.)
