[SOC] I'm worrying less now

Lately, the state of the US citizenry has bothered me quite a bit, but
yesterday something happened that heartened me greatly. A young woman (A)
was arrested in the Los Angeles area, charged with suspicion of Assault and
Battery. Seems that another woman (B) had placed a 9/11 memorial on a lawn
some time back, and it had been vandalized a few days ago. Woman A, said
to be an anti-war protester, took the 9/11 memorial (which was
flag-bedecked) to be an item of pro-war sentiment, and yesterday engaged
woman B in agitated conversation. The discussion allegedly culminated with
woman A taking a swack or two on woman B. So woman A is now, as the Brits
would say, "assisting the police with their enquiries."

Maybe you think me weird to take this as a positive sign, but I'm very
proud of both of these people. This country was founded on a great deal of
heated discussion, and it rather maintains the highest traditions for that
sort of thing to carry on.
