Good point, Lloyd! I counted them because they called me when I was calling
CQ SOC in order to get points in their contest and give me at least minimum
points in mine. They probably had no more idea what I was doing than I did
what they were doing! I heard AHZ explaining what SOC was to someone before
I worked him throughout the spectrum. I had a vague idea what the Electret
contest was. I hand out point in just about any contest when I am on the air
(on CW, less often on SSB), but BERU and EQP sounded like in-group contests
insofar as I understood them. (Too bad, too, because some of the best signals
on 10m were ZL's and others well south of the equator). 73 Jan 389
