Folks, most of you know my opinions on things.
Whether one agrees or not is completely irrelevant.
I generate tons of email privately, most of it controversial. Friends from the
right of me are now writing that something is radically "wrong" with the
American soul.
Stop it.
Please stop it.
Go back to the basics, where America came from.
The "Shock Jocks" [as we know them in Australia] labeling folks as traitors is
absolute rubbish. They quickly forget that America originally stood as a
bastion of the "land of the free - agree to disagree".
An alternative opinion? To now be trashed?
I can *NOT* support your current administration, but by god, I'll fight to the
death the principles upon which they and America were founded and the right to
espouse those views, even if I diabolically disagree.
Good principles, decency, fair to one and all.
People in America currently are afraid to voice an opinion in public?
I simply, as an Australian don't believe it. Reclaim your basic rights...

A muted America is totally "frightening" to me...

I really can't believe the mail I'm receiving. Decent folks afraid to speak
out.
