[SOC] Basics on contest

For those of us too SOC to have internet access at home, could someone throw
out the basics of the upcoming contest(s)? (when where exchange, etc.). I
just have EMail via a friendly amateur node 20 miles away as the 2-meter RF
flies, and it is strictly ascii. To get on the internet, I have to hike to
my wife's office or the library (something I'm disinclined to do at the
