I'm somewhat familiar with British airplanes, having done maintenance on
BAE 146s for a couple years.  The factory sent a crew from Hatfield to
try to cure some of the problems with the Lucas (Prince of Darkness)
electrics.  My only complaint about the airplane was the high wing
design---it required very tall ladders to work on the engines.  (shades
of the Lockheed Connie which wasn't a high wing but had tall landing
gears)
