[SOC] BTU?

IMHO, if someone said "BTU," they said it sloppily,
or you misread it. What is often said is "BK,", which
should be sent as a "prosign," that is, as if the
elements of the B and the K were one big letter.
Often, ops send prosigns as if they were two letters,
to wit: "B T," for a dash, instead of "BT," or "
dahdidididah." "BK" then becomes "dahdididit
dahdidah," rather than "dahdidididahdidah."

Also, "TU" is often heard at the end of a
transmission, but not as a prosign, but as a short
version of "thank you," and is properly "dah dididah."

"BTU," then, may be someone saying "BK," and
slipping an extra "dit" into the "K" portion.
