[SOC] Bottles

When I got my first license, it was VHF only and I immediately started
experimenting with transmitters built around a power tetrode type QQV06/40,
made in those days by Mullard which has long since been absorbed into the
Philips group. This valve/tube was affectionately known as a 'six-forty' and
this became our slang expression for the current YL.
'Running up the six-forty tonight' was always an enjoyable pastime!
