Nothing new there mate.

UPDATE:

Our son used to live in Canberra so Carolyn dragged out the old street directory
we formerly used [it's a confusing place roadwise].

One entire suburb to his left has almost gone, most likely his old house as
well, everything to the north which included Mt. Stromlo Observatory, the entire
pine plantation, government health laboratories etc. etc.

There's no communications so Mike can't contact old friends and neighbours for
an update.

Not much word from the federal gummint about assistance for the folks, but then
again these are all mostly federal public servants who historically never vote
for the government's party anyway.

Am I cynical?
