Fans of cricket and beer can fullfill their 2 passions [ 2003-01-07 11:01 ]
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian cricket fans invented a method allowing them to
taste in peace pints of fresh beer without missing a ball of the "Ashes", the
traditional championship of the teams of England and Australia.
An agency of mannequins proposed, at the time of the fifth series of matches
disputed last week in Sydney, to rent the services of a young woman charged to
wait in the queue to stadium's bars on behalf the spectators. Against 65
Australian dollars (approximately 36 euros/US$), the employees of Sex Bomb
Promotions spent one hour in the queues.
Alistair Flower, come to attend the matches with his friends, told in the
columns of Daily Telegraph of Sydney that he had rented the services of two
young women equipped out of jean and skintight T-shirts during the first days
of the competition not to miss one minute of it.
"We were surrounded by English supporters and we wanted to have pretty girls in
our group", he explained to the daily newspaper, which qualified these services
of "last accessory of sport .la.mode".
According to Sex Bomb Promotions, the idea of "substitutes" in the queues makes
its way and goes very well during the motor race competitions.
At the end of the tournament, invented in 1912, Australia "kept" Ashes, on the
score of 4 to 1.
