Dave,
If I were to be presented with an intruder in my house in the small hours of
the morning then I would use any and all means necessary to protect my three
daughters, my wife and myself.
No matter what.
It seems that the incidence of burglary is somewhat lower in the US than the
UK since the prospect of being shot tends to discourage.
