In the Pocket Oxford Dictionary, it's defined as a "street or passage closed
at one end" From the French, meaning Sack Bottom.
Most cul-de-sac roads have a circular turning circle at the closed end.
Hence, they look from above like a sack.
If you want to insult a town, city or other place, you suggest that you
drove to the place and, under the place name, was a sign saying cul-de-sac.
It suggests that there's only one way in, and it is pretty boring when you
get there. HI.
